Mike is a Chartered Architect, trained at Leeds School of Architecture, where he developed an inquisitive forward-thinking approach to problem solving. This approach is equally applied to the management, design and delivery of really complicated buildings as it is to businesses; to projects and project teams; to the navigation of sometimes conflicting statutory obligations; to championing sustainability; and to meaningful social conscience outcomes for the wider good.

As a business leader, Mike has over 30 years of top management experience, as an equity partner, later senior partner and chair of multi-disciplinary, multi-location, construction consultancy William Saunders Partnership LLP [https://www.wm-saunders.co.uk]. Mike consequently has good knowledge of partnership business affairs and complex group divisions, which includes strategic business growth through mergers & acquisition planning and transaction management to completion of professional service firms. Mike’s M&A experience extends to the divestment of complex group divisions in to a combination of trade and private equity organisations.
