Mechanical Design Engineer – Nuclear Opportunity Hybrid Working – £35-£42.5k

LDNY People are currently working in partnership with a leading company within the Nuclear sector, they specialise in bespoke project design within the Decommissioning sector.
Based out of their North West Head office, they provide the expertise required to help deliver some of the most technically challenging projects in the UK, including concept, Scheme and detailed design, manufacturing and onsite installation.

Role Responsibilities:
- Work alongside a team of experienced Nuclear industry engineers on technically challenging projects.
- Create new and modifying existing drawings using Autodesk Inventor/AutoCAD.
- Peer review of designs.
- As a Mechanical Design Engineer, support and be involved in engineering design meetings.
- Generate calculations to size key components to BS2573 (training will be given).
- Produce installation and commissioning method statements and risk assessments.
- Attend client/site meetings alongside the senior engineering team.
Role Requirements:
- The ability to research new subjects and be a self starter are essential.
- Experience using AutoDesk inventor, producing drawings to BS8888.
- AutoCAD 2D would also be desirable.
- HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering.
- A full UK driving licence and the ability to obtain relevant security clearances. You must be a UK national or resident in the UK for the past 5 years.
