Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Principal Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical engineering with a focus on HVAC systems. This role requires the ability to lead and manage teams of engineers and Revit modellers, ensuring the successful completion of projects from the initial design phase through to final coordination and installation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of engineers and Revit modellers in the design, installation and maintenance of HVAC systems.
- Oversee the 4/5 stage design and coordination process, ensuring all projects meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
- Develop and implement project plans, ensuring timely completion within budget constraints.
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met and exceeded.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members.
- Continuously seek opportunities for professional development and career progression, including aspirations to reach CEng chartership.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on HVAC systems.
- Proven experience in 4/5 stage design and coordination.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in using Revit and other relevant software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated with a strong desire for career progression and professional development.
- Aspiration to achieve Chartered Engineer (CEng) status.
