Project Director – £120-£150k plus package/bonus and excellent prospects – Hinkley Point C
LDNY People are currently working closely with a leading engineering and construction company, who have recently secured a large scale package as a key delivery partner on Hinkley Point C.
This combined with ambitious regional growth plans have created a need to recruit a Project Director, initially to oversee the long term Hinkley Point work but also help develop their project delivery capabilities in the Southern region.
This role would suit a Project Director looking for an exciting new challenge or a Senior PM looking to make the next step in their career, what is essential is you have very strong client facing skills and a proven track record overseeing large scale construction packages.
Role Responsibilities:
- Oversee a large construction package on Hinkley Point C, this position will need regular site attendance so you will ideally be based in the South of England.
- Work in a client facing capacity, you will take the lead on the project and will need to have strong client facing skills for this position.
- Identify new opportunities on the project, they have already obtained additional works and need someone who can help grow their relationship with the client.
- Manage and grow their southern region delivery team, manage them on a day to day basis and offer guidance in their professional development.
- They have strong growth plans for the region, so you will be able to lead and grow a team, taking full operational responsibility.
Role Requirements:
- Currently working as a Project Director or Senior Project Manager with a proven track record of delivery in highly regulated sectors (Steel, HVAC, Oil and Gas as an example).
- Previous experience within the Nuclear sector would be extremely advantageous, but not essential if you have major projects experience.
- This role will require regular site attendance on a site, so you will ideally be based in the South. If you are further afield you will need to be happy to stay over/be on site per project requirements.
- Capable of identifying and developing new opportunities in the region, this position requires someone with strong commercial awareness.
- Happy to lead mentor and grow a team.
