Senior Instrumentation and Controls Engineer – Dublin
LDNY People are currently working with one of Europe’s leading MEP Design Consultancies, who currently have a requirement for a Senior Instrumentation and Controls Engineer, based out of their growing Dublin office.
They work in a variety of sectors but have a particularly strong reputation within Commercial, Industrial, Data Centres, Oil and Gas and Pharmaceutical.
Their Dublin office in particular has experienced a period of sustained growth, so this Senior Instrumentation and Controls Engineer position offers exciting long term career prospects and the chance to be involved in some great MEP projects.
Role Responsibilities:
- The senior instrumentation and control engineer will manage full instrumentation and controls design on projects of all sizes.
- Fulfil I&C design work as required, ranging from P&ID markups, instrument data sheets, control valve sizing, typical installation detailed I/O lists, ATEX calculations, URS creation (user requirement specifications), control schematics, loop diagrams & PLC / DCS specifications etc.
- Prepare and review I&C drawings.
- Provide quality control where requested for electrical engineering projects.
- Equipment specification.
- The ability to organise, plan and execute multiple tasks to tight schedules.
- Project cost control.
- Management of both project teams and cross-functional teams within the existing organizational structure.
- Lead change in new technologies.
- Mentor and develop the team.
- Travel to client and project locations as requested to represent the company for meetings, surveys etc.
Role Requirements:
- 5 years plus as a senior I&C engineer, covering the duties as listed above.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Must have a full Irish driving licence.
- Candidates must be fluent in English and eligible to work in Ireland. They are open to candidates looking to relocate within the EU.
- B-Eng in electrical / electronics, instrument physics.
